LED Drivers and LED Lighting for Image Processing

In image processing, an indispensable area of modern technology, lighting and power supply are fundamental components that are crucial for the quality, precision and efficiency of the entire process chain.

Application in image processing

You develop machine vision systems for industrial image processing, quality control, or automation technology, and need a high-performance, robust light source or extremely fast, high-performance LED driver electronics to capture uniformly and brightly illuminated images at high frame rates, enabling you to perform precise and reproducible analyses?

We offer ultra-fast, multi-channel LED driver electronics that enable flash rates of 100 kHz, even at high currents, as well as various xenon and LED lighting solutions—as continuous or strobe light sources—to ensure optimal illumination of your test specimens. Many of our light sources are available in various wavelength ranges and can be operated in flash mode. For applications requiring two different wavelengths, our portfolio includes various high-performance white light sources as well as multi-channel LED light sources. The channels can be operated individually, in parallel, or simultaneously.

You can ensure a stable and reliable power supply for your lighting with our ballasts for traditional light sources, such as Hg, Xe, and mixed-gas discharge lamps, or our ultra-fast pulse controller for LEDs and LED clusters.

If none of our standard light sources or electronic components meet your requirements, we would be happy to develop and manufacture these components specifically for you as OEM parts.

Lighting in Image Processing

A stable and reliable power supply is essential for the operation of image processing systems. Cameras, lighting units, and computers must be continuously powered to ensure error-free processing of image data.

High precision and stable power supply
In image processing, the equipment used requires a stable and precise power supply, as fluctuations can impair the performance of cameras or lighting units. A reliable power supply prevents image distortion and ensures that images are captured with high resolution and clarity.
Redundancy and emergency power supply
Particularly in fields such as industrial quality control or medical imaging, it is crucial that image processing systems operate reliably around the clock. Emergency power supplies or redundant systems are necessary to ensure the continuity of image processing in the event of a power outage and to minimize downtime.
Energy efficiency
In modern image processing systems, there is a growing focus on energy-efficient solutions to optimize power consumption. LED-based lighting units and efficient power supply systems not only help reduce operating costs but also extend the service life of the equipment used.
